Ann Curry
Ann Curry, an American journalist and photojournalist who has covered wars and natural disasters for nearly 45 years. Her focus is on the suffering of people living in these regions. Curry was a reporter for the wars within Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo, and Central African Republic. She was most well-known for her job as a correspondent for the Today program, which was a morning news program aired by the National Broadcasting Co. (NBC). Curry was well-known for her coverage of human rights crises, natural disasters and other emergencies which occurred in war-ravaged areas. Curry was born in Japan and was brought up by an Japanese mother. Her father was a U.S. Navy sailor. Her mother was stationed alongside her father in Japan in the aftermath of World War II. Family members were constantly on the move because of her dad's military service. Curry completed her high school studies in Ashland Oregon. Her graduation with a journalist degree from the University of Oregon in 1978. In her youth she was exposed various kinds of cultures. The compassion she displays towards the world is likely a result of her experiences. Ann Curry has been a famous American journalist since the early 1990s. She is currently NBC's anchor for news. They moved frequently, so Curry didn't stay in the same school for over two years traveling to various locations including San Diego Alameda Oregon and Virginia. Her path to an enviable career after she began her broadcasting career as an intern in KTVL Channel 10 in Medford Oregon, eventually becoming the first female news reporter at the station, at young age of. Then, she stepped into the role of anchor and reporter at KGW which is the NBC affiliate station in Portland. Then, four years later she moved to Los Angeles and became a reporter at KCBS TV. The two Emmy Awards were won during the six years she worked for the KCBS-TV.
